La Roca is an owner-managed 4-star boutique guest house located in an upmarket residential suburb of Nelspruit. Spread amongst 6,000m² of sub-tropical garden, several of our rooms, the breakfast lapa and pool deck enjoy stunning uninterrupted views over the Nelspruit Nature Reserve and escarpment beyond. Offering standard, superior, luxury family and executive accommodation, all our en-suite rooms have been individually decorated with attention to detail and each have a private entrance and a balcony or patio.

Conveniently situated only 2Km from the city centre, La Roca is a peaceful oasis within which to unwind from a long days work or to use as a base for exploring the many world class attractions in the vicinity: the Kruger National Park; Blyde River Canyon; Mozambique and Swaziland are all less than an hour away.

OUR ROOMS

Standard Rooms

• Four of our smaller rooms at 20-30m² (excluding balconies), yet each cosy & stylishly furnished with a small seating area in the room and a private balcony or patio.
• Each room has an en-suite bathroom with shower only.
• Queen beds with percale linen and duvets.
• Not suitable for families.

Superior Rooms

• Six rooms of approx. 30-40m² (excluding patios), each with a private entrance. Individually decorated with their own charm these rooms have more spacious interiors with shower & bath; are more private and have better views than our Standard Rooms.
• King or Queen beds with percale linen and duvets.
• En-suite bathrooms with shower and bath.
• Comfortable seating area in the room.
• Garden views.
• Not suitable for families.

Luxury Family Rooms

• Four very large rooms (minimum 50m² excluding patios), each with a private entrance and garden views. Lavishly decorated to a high standard these rooms are ideal for discerning guests or families with children.

• King beds in main room with percale linen and duvets.
• Two of the family rooms have an adjoining separate room with two single beds for children.
• The other two family rooms each have a double bunk bed discreetly partitioned within the main bedroom.
• Cots provided on request.
• En-suite bathroom with separate bath & shower and towelling bath robes.
• Large seating area in the room with couches.

Executive Suite

• The Executive Suite comprises the entire 200m² upper level of a separate house perched on the edge of the Nature Reserve with unrivalled panoramic views over the reserve and mountains beyond.
• With all the features of a home, this suite can be self-catering: a fully equipped open plan kitchen and scullery, lounge and dining area leading onto a spacious balcony with stunning views.
• King bed with percale linen and duvets.
• En-suite bathroom with shower, bath and towelling bath robes.
• Outside bath and shower overlooking the reserve.
• A walk-in dressing room with door in which there is a double bunk bed for children. Cots provided on request.
• If the entire house is booked, there is a Superior Bedroom downstairs with a lockable interleading door.

Each of ours rooms are individually decorated with a focus on detail and comfort. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, a comfortable seating area and either a private patio or balcony.

Rooms are appointed with either king or queen size beds draped in white percale cotton linen and fluffy duvets.

For your comfort all rooms are equipped with flat screen TV’s with selected satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, comfortable seating, bar fridges, complimentary tea tray, luxury amenities and towelling, hair dryers, and small safes for valuables.

Families are welcome in our Executive and Luxury Family Rooms as they are larger and have additional beds.

DINING AT LA ROCA

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in our rates and should not be missed – served under our open air thatched lapa on the pool terrace, with panoramic views across the Nature Reserve – a peaceful and invigorating start to your day. Deliciously different cooked to order daily specials together with an extensive buffet of seasonal fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, toast bread and home baked muffins, juice, locally produced filter coffee and a variety of teas. Vegetarian breakfasts are catered for upon request.

Early risers can request a take-away breakfast pack delivered to your room the evening before.

Dinner – Booking Essential

Dinner is available from Monday to Thursday only, served as a 1 or 2 course plated home cooked “Meal of the Day”. Served between 18:30 – 19:00 at our lapa with stunning views over the gardens and Nature Reserve or as room service. We have no restaurant; dinner is only prepared by prior arrangement. Please book a day in advance and advise us of any dietary restrictions.
